Editorial & vintage photoshoots in Sicily,
in movement, never stiff.
Some people want relaxed snapshots of their holiday. Others want photos that look like a magazine page or a still from an old film: beautiful light, beautiful backgrounds, a bit of style. That's what I mean by an editorial or vintage photoshoot, and Sicily is the perfect set for it.

What makes it editorial
I direct a little more than in a classic session, but I never put you in stiff poses. I give you small things to do: walk, turn, dance, look at each other, laugh. Then I photograph what happens in between. The photos look styled, but they're still you.
The vintage look
Call it vintage, film look or Dolce Vita: Sicily already looks like an old film: baroque stone, faded doors, iron gates, bougainvillea, the sea. I work with natural light and warm, soft colours, so the photos feel timeless rather than trendy. In Ortigia you can even do it aboard a vintage sailboat at sunset.
Ortigia, the sea at sunset and the garden of Castello Solacium.
Where we shoot
The alleys of Ortigia and Piazza Duomo, the baroque streets of Noto, the sea at sunset, or a garden like the one at Castello Solacium, where I photographed Jamie and Georgie right after their surprise proposal at Cantine Pupillo. If you're staying in a villa with character, we can also shoot there.
What to wear
Clothes that wouldn't look out of place thirty years ago: linen, white or cream, soft floral prints, a silk scarf, a hat. Avoid big logos and neon colours. If you're two, match the tones, not the outfits. Not sure? Ask me, and I'll tell you what works best with the location.
Couples, families, solo travellers
The same approach works for a surprise proposal, a honeymoon, a solo traveller who wants beautiful portraits, or a family with kids. With children, the movement is the easy part: they run anyway. See how it went for one family in Noto.
